Pathways to sustainable university publishing and digital publication platforms

Research funders’ open access policies have, over the last few years, significantly impacted the diverse landscape of smaller journals and presses and the roles of university publishers. Increased demands for OA publishing channels has also prompted development of Digital Publishing Platforms and new financial models for publishing. In this session, with economic sustainability and long term preservation as central themes, panelists will present different perspectives on these developments and will discuss the current state of and possible futures for publishing models.
